Bedside Manner
Improve your communication and relationships with patients through improv exercises and group collaboration
Description: As a former speech-language pathologist, I know that time constraints, communicating and executing complex medical concepts and plans, as well as a multitude of other factors can easily get in the way of meaningful interactions with patients. However, your relationship with a patient has a direct impact on the quality and accuracy of the care you provide. In addition to increased medical team and patient satisfaction, good bedside manner leads to:
Improved patient trust and engagement
Increased patient disclosure of medically-pertinent information
Increased patient adherence, satisfaction and outcomes
