What is Improv?
Improv is an art form in which performers make their performance up without a script. Often, what they make up is inspired by an audience suggestion. Sometimes improv is funny. Sometimes improv is serious.
There are two general categories of improv:
Short-form in which improvisers ask for suggestions from the audience to play games (think Whose Line is it Anyway).
Long form in which improvisers typically get one suggestion which inspires a play-like performance for 20-45 minutes (think Middleditch & Schwartz on Netflix).
This workshop will review techniques and tenets common to both categories.
